yeah i guess it’s easy to scoff. but i don’t see why God wouldn’t like baseball. I mean, he made the people who made it. He might enjoy taking in a game once in a while, too. Though if that’s the case I doubt he would weight the scales and always make his team win just ‘cos he’s a baseball fan. we’ve come to expect more from him.

Kate is an old friend from the Daily News. She’s since moved off to New York, and left me with no like-minded colleagues.
